Responsibilities

  • Leading and instructing other Technologists and Technicians in the assignment of their duties, monitoring clinical performance and competency and providing training where necessary.
  • Perform laboratory analysis following documented procedures. This includes performing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based molecular assays, possesing basic knowledge of molecular biology and molecular technologies, and executing all tasks with attention to details.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements

  • Bachelorrsquo;s Degree preferred in related field of Science, preferably from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • 3 years#39; experience as a Technologist or Laboratory Technician in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • 1 year Blood Bank experience
  • ASCP certification in MB (Molecular Biology), MT, MLS, or MLT preferred.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
