Portable Radiologic Technologist

How You'll Make an Impact:

As a portable radiologic technologist, you'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings to support disease and injury diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, you'll contribute to maintaining patient care, customer service, image quality, operational efficiency, and training of other technologists.

What You'll Do:

• Travel to different locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams, following company protocols and procedures.
• Collect and verify required documentation and patient information before procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams and operate portable radiologic equipment.
• Determine exposure factors and ensure safe work practices, including radiation safety, infection control, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Process, review, and transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of equipment and assist with troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Take care of the vehicle and ensure it's well stocked with necessary supplies.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations for portable imaging procedures.
• Train and orient other employees as needed by management and assist with administrative and customer support functions.
• Act professionally, demonstrate commitment to the company's mission and values, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate positively and professionally with everyone and demonstrate proficiency in using company computers, systems, programs, and digital x-ray technology.
• Contribute to fostering good teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.

What You Need:

• Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including ARRT registration or state x-ray license.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and work a varied schedule.
