Factor_ a brand of HelloFresh is seeking a Senior Sous Chef. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, prepping, cooking, and plating meals on a weekly schedule for our Shelf-Life Regulatory Program. You will collaborate closely with at least one other chef on the team to ensure tasks are completed on time, and you will need to communicate effectively with other functions at the Distribution Center (DC) to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will need to have the following core competencies to be successful in this role: time management, effective communication, attention to detail, food safety knowledge, flexibility, leadership, food preparation skills, focus under pressure and physical stamina.

  • Lead Shelf-Life Regulatory Program: Develop a weekly plan for meal preparation, cooking and plating to meet the shelf-life program requirements. Execute the weekly plan, ensuring all meals are prepared to high standards. Lead, guide and coordinate the work of at least 1 supporting chef, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Time Management: Efficiently organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and high-quality food preparation, maintaining smooth workflow and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective Communication: Foster clear and open communication channels with all the different areas of the DC, such as inventory, debox, kitchen and production, to ensure seamless execution of the weekly tasks.
  • Food Safety Expertise: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of food safety protocols and ensure strict adherence to GMP's to guarantee the safety of both staff and customers, contributing to high meal ratings.
