We are in search of a professional Physical Medical & Rehabilitation Physician (Physiatrist) with proficient research and counseling skills. The ideal candidate should have superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with excellent judgment skills and listening skills.You will treat a variety of patients and medical conditions and assist patients in restoring optimal physical function while helping them improve their quality of life. Patients are disabled due to a disease, disorder, or injury and have medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons and more.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive diagnoses, treatments, and therapies for injury, disorder, or disease.Recommend and provide various medical procedures, such as disc decompression, prolotherapy, and vertebroplasty to treat pain and improve physical functioning.Provide patients with education and counseling related to their condition.Implement mental strategies and counsel that encourage adaptation to medical conditions.Order and interpret results of diagnostic imaging procedures.Record all medical care information and maintain medical records.Lead a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, in order to optimize patient care.Monitor ongoing progress and health of patients, and change treatment plans, as necessary.Conduct research on injuries, diseases, and disabling conditions in order to improve and advance treatments.Provide adaptive therapies and tools to improve physical function of patients.Maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights for patients.Job Benefits:Competitive salary401K & 403BComprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision benefitsShort & Long Term DisabilityFSA AccountPTOEmployee discount programExcellent room for growth and advancementAnd much more!Requirements:Current medical license (MD or DO) in the state of practice required.Certification required from the American Board of Medical Specialties.Four (4) plus years of residency training in PM&R.Excellent communication, listening, compassion, and organizational skills.Strategize & assist patients in overcoming difficulties, and adapting to their condition.Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).Knowledge & master of different types of rehabilitation treatments and programs for different disabilities.Exceptional attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity, wonderful bedside manner, and exceptional communicator who can empathize with patients.
