HYBRID OPTIONAL - Civil Engineer, Senior Drainage Project Manager: Airports, Rai

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager with 10 or more years of experience in water resources and stormwater related planning and design work from either our Austin or Round Rock Offices.

This position will primarily focus on drainage system planning, preliminary engineering, and final design for projects at airports, light rail corridors, and on large roadway/transportation projects. This position provides an opportunity to work on some of the largest public projects in Central Texas including the expansion of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, mass transit with Project Connect, and large TxDOT projects.

The candidate will have the opportunity to manage and lead technical deliveries, and to develop junior engineering staff while expanding the water resources/stormwater discipline practice across the company.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10 or more years of strong experience in engineering drainage design and plan production
  • Experience developing Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for TxDOT projects
  • Texas PE license or the ability to obtain a Texas PE license within 6 months of hire
  • 3 or more years of experience in project management and client service
  • 3 or more years of experience in managing and mentoring junior staff
  • Experience using both AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation and GEOPAK
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of local, county and state agency submittal process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to convey engineering information concisely to technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with City of Austin drainage standards and permitting requirements
  • Working knowledge and experience with StormCAD, CivilStorm Drainage tools, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Familiarity with Microstation Subsurface Utility Design and Analysis (SUDA)
  • Certified Floodplain Manager
