Position Summary - The School Cafeteria Associate will prepare and serve meals to students, as well as operate and clean equipment properly.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand measuring devices
• Ability to read and understand recipes and production records
• USDA Required Professional Standards, minimum of 6 hours of continuing education/training yearly and work toward obtaining SNA Certification Level 1, preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with all school personnel
• Valid Idaho driver's license
• Required criminal history background check, physical, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparation of food as assigned
• Complete serving and cleaning duties as assigned
• Follow proper food handling to maintain food quality and ensure food safety
• Serve meals to adults and students through the line during service hours
• Use proper operation of equipment to assure safety and avoid damage to equipment
• Clean and sanitize all equipment properly
• Attend all required trainings and attain yearly professional standards training requirements
• Support the philosophy and mission of the District and the Child Nutrition Department
• Other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager and Director of Nutrition Services
