The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA has an immediate need for a Logistician to support the onsite SPA team at Hill AFB, UT. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Group (SIG) supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in the acquisition of the LGM-35A Sentinel (GBSD) ICBM weapon system. SIG delivers program management, systems engineering, and subject matter expertise to ensure on-time delivery of a safe, secure, and reliable strategic nuclear weapon system.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will provide direct support to a national security-critical weapon system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment. You will help shape the quality and performance of program management products from across the directorate and functional areas, and you will help educate and equip the government customer to acquire, operate, and maintain an entire weapon system-of-systems. You will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Air Force organization that is responsible to design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world’s safest, most secure, and effective land-based nuclear deterrent, on-schedule. Ultimately, this is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of the next generation intercontinental ballistic missile—the national security critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability. Candidate will serve as an Acquisition Logistician and work with a highly skilled team providing mission-critical acquisition project management, reporting, and program integration functions on behalf of the Sentinel System Program Office. Candidate will serve as an acquisition logistics subject matter expert, key program advisor, and a focal point for the assessment and reporting of Sentinel program status, including technical performance, contract performance, enterprise integrated master schedule health, and risks, issues, and opportunities. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a current DoD SECRET security clearance or higher (adjudicated within the past 6 years) and be eligible to obtain and maintain all required Special Program accesses.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in project/program management.
- Demonstrated comfort and capabilities working under stressful conditions, aggressive schedules, variable workloads, and shifting priorities.
- Air Force Supply Chain management experience.
- Experience with Air Force Provisioning, PHS&T (Packaging Handling Storage & Transportation), Support Equipment Management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience at a System Program Office (or higher-level staff) executing/overseeing program(s) in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) or similar acquisition program phase.
- Understanding of integration across multiple areas of an ACAT I level program.
- Understanding of Control Account Management responsibilities and Earned Value Management.
- Understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DoE) acquisition and program management processes.
