to join their AMAZING Team!Availability: FT or PTSalary: $57,000 - $65,000As a Registered Dietitian you will ?serve as expert in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease.About Us:At Carolina House, we believe that everyone should feel safe and welcome while receiving eating disorder treatment, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexuality, religion, or world views. Since 2006, we have been a trusted source for eating disorder treatment for women age 17 and older. Over the years, we have expanded our services to support people age 17 and older of all genders who are struggling with eating disorders and certain co-occurring mental health concerns. The care we provide emphasizes transformation on a whole-person level, promoting healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to help each of our clients find the inner strength to make the changes needed for lasting recovery.Responsibilities:?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:?Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.?Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.?Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.?Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.?Review and approve menus developed by the facility.?Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.?Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient.?Participate in treatment team as appropriate.?Review and approve facility diet manual annually in conjunction with medical staff.?Promote better health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.?Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as needed.?

OTHER FUNCTIONS:?Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:?Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.?Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.??
