We are seeking a talented associate to join our Public Sector Solutions team.
How You Will Make an Impact at Rehmann: Working with a service team to meet client needs and objectives Provide routine and complex accounting services for clients Preparing financial analysis to support client decision making Assisting developing presentations and communicating with clients Working with clients to implement fundamental changes and recommendations Keeping team members informed of new and pertinent developments Building relationships internally to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration Providing a "wow" experience to every client Contributing to the success of our clients' organizations Teaching and developing associates allowing them to reach their goals Mentoring associates as they navigate their career paths Identifying opportunities to introduce other Rehmann specialists to existing clients Making a difference in the communities where you live and work Your Desired Skills, Values & Experiences:
5+ years of relevant experience in the non-profit or governmental space Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Knowledge of general accounting principles (FASB and/or GASB) Experience with a variety of accounting functions, such as accounts payable, payroll, cash receipting, and account reconciliations Experience with Federal cost principles, federal grant accounting and reporting, and Single Audit Act compliance Advanced excel knowledge and the ability to utilize excel to improve efficiency Strong understanding of internal controls and the ability to document them in policy Ability to identify opportunities and potential challenges with current systems and processes Outstanding client service and communication skills Desire to develop unique business solutions in a team-based environment Commitment to continuous learning and development Out-of-the box thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit A new perspective and new ideas allowing us to continuously improve Unwavering integrity in all situations
