West Fraser is creating a new Qualified Reliability Tech certification program. Successful applicants will enter the program at the Apprentice Level and will be required to complete required coursework to advance to Reliability Tech 2, 3 and Qualified Reliability Tech.West Fraser will cover all costs of training and tools. The Reliability Tech position will report to the Maintenance Superintendent or Reliability Engineer.

Responsibilities Include:

Administer the predictive portion of the reliability program: Vibration, Ultrasound, Thermography, and Machine Lubrication ProgramBecome the subject matter experts with the following maintenance standards: alignment, hydraulics, fasteners, for example, and assist where directed to instill the practices in the fieldAcquire a good understanding of RCFAs and assist as requiredQualifications to enter the program:

Pass the Mechanical Reasoning Assessment (CMRA) with a minimum score of 21.Must have demonstrated good attendance, safety and work recordBe a self-starterWork independently and as a member of cross-functional teams consisting of maintenance, operations, quality control, safety, environmental and administrationAbility to commit to and successfully complete a 3 year training programsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively train othersAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet business needQualifications to continue in the program:
