Location: 1750 Filter Dr, Deland, FL 32724Shift: 2nd shift (3:10 PM to 11:10 PM M-F)Pay rate: $24/Hour
Job Description:The CNC Machinist has responsibilities to safely perform job functions at the highest level of quality.
Key responsibilities:essential functions include setting up CNC machines, making tool changes, tool offsets, machining work-holding devices, and changing tooling fixtures and other job duties as assigned.Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures.Works with associates and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.Comply with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE.Complete all necessary equipment in related area.
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent and minimum of 3-4 years of experience in setting up and producing products on CNC machines (preference for lathes but will consider mills).
Proficient in math to calculate tool offsets, home positions, and verify print dimensions; ability to read blueprints and engineering documents (2D and 3D), use of measuring instruments such as calipers, comparator, borematics, micrometers, profilometer. etc.
Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.Demonstrated ability to communicate with others.Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.
