Clarity Partners is seeking a
GIS Enterprise Administrator local to Chicago, IL.
This individual will be managing the hardware, software and network resources of the ArcGIS Enterprise on a client facing project. This position will report in a hybrid setting.
Responsibilities:Oversee the management and operation of the on-premises ArcGIS Enterprise environment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of all components.System Installation, Configuration & Maintenance for all upgrades to server operating system(s) and Esri ArcGIS Enterprise.Defines and documents the GIS Enterprise configuration and change management.Maintains GIS system and application security with integrated Active Directory security permissions for GIS users, including mobile apps.Monitoring & Troubleshooting system health, performance, and resource utilization across all ArcGIS Enterprise components and server site groups.Implement and manage backup and recovery plans for critical ArcGIS Enterprise components and data.Serves as liaison with vendors for resolution of technical problems.May serve as a liaison to internal and external between the client and other agencies and organizations.May oversee the daily operations and technical administration of utilities databases. This task includes staff training, troubleshooting problems, managing versioned editing.Collaborate and coordinate with IT teams for ArcGIS Enterprise system integration with other enterprise systems, databases, and applications.Work with GIS analysts, developers, and database administrators to ensure smooth operation and data flow within the geospatial ecosystem.Writes programs and shell scripts to facilitate system processes.Performs related work as required.Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Natural Science, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining GIS Enterprise server operating system(s) using Esri and SQL or another Database Management software.Knowledge of Windows server operating structures, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and the Esri suite of products.Experience creating, managing, and supporting GIS mobile/web services using ArcGIS for Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and SDE Database environments.Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise components with strong technical understanding of ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Data Store, and Web Adaptor.Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, REST web services, Python, SQL query language.Experience with High Availability ArcGIS Enterprise environments, with knowledge of clustering, load balancing, and failover techniques.Knowledge of desktop workstations, capabilities and operations.Ability to think logically and show attention to detail.Ability to effectively communicate abstract and technical information, both orally and in writing.
