We are seeking a talented SATCOM / Communications Network Engineer to join our team in support of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Networks organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced telecommunication and satellite communication systems that are critical to national defense. You'll be involved in designing and integrating cutting-edge communications networks that support the sharing of vital information across missile defense systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

In this role, you'll apply your technical expertise in systems engineering, telecommunications, and project management to help develop and deploy high-availability communication networks. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing engineering and technical expertise to develop end-to-end communication networks, ensuring high availability for both test and operational environments.

• Leading systems engineering efforts, including SATCOM architecture studies, long-haul communications analysis, site surveys, strategic planning, and equipment selection.

• Managing the integration, installation, and testing of communications systems.

• Analyzing technical designs provided by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.

• Assisting in oversight of the Prime Contractor's development of the communication networks.

• Participating in facility design reviews and coordinating facility installations.

• Facilitating working groups and technical meetings.

• Performing technical assessments of network test data and preparing reports for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of systems engineering experience.

• An active Secret security clearance.

• Expertise in radio frequency (RF) and waveform communications system design.

• Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM).

• Strong understanding of telecommunication systems test data and design review processes.

• Familiarity with requirements flow-down from system to element specifications.

Bonus Skills:

• An active Top Secret security clearance.

• Experience with tactical data links (TDL J, Link 11, Link 16), encryption systems, and precision timing systems.

• Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.

• Experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

• Background in large-scale construction projects is a plus.
