Summary

Works directly under the supervision of a professional registered nurse. Coordinates and provides care utilizing the critical thinking framework known as the nursing process. The nursing process forms the foundation of the nurse's decision making to help partner with patients/families to attain, maintain and restore health whenever possible. Blends caring, compassion, knowledge and integrity to provide safe quality care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity and rights. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Minimum: Holds a diploma or degree from an approved school of nursing that entitles the individual to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination. Has received authorization to take the NCLEX-RN examination.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: Graduate Nurse may engage in the practice of professional nursing without a license for a period not to exceed 120 calendar days from the date of receipt of the first authorization to take the NCLEX-RN examination; BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE

Special Skills

Minimum: Computer literacy

Training

Minimum: "A.Proof of the first authorization to take the NCLEX-RN examination; and B.Proof of graduation from an approved school of nursing within the previous ninety (90) days"
