Position Purpose
The Manager of Application Services will focus on the integration and implementation of our TMS and system integrations. This position will focus on building teams and distributed, scalable, and extensible systems used by our customers. These systems are integral to the delivery of successful applications and integrations across the
enterprise.
Position Responsibilities Team member may perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the company. •Oversee the integration and implementation of all TMS, system integrations, & EDI (including, but not limited to 3rd party vendors & iPaas systems). •Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. •Review test scripts and oversee testing activities. •Develop and maintain roadmap of software applications supported. •Work with the IT group to support other enterprise-wide initiatives. •Identify critical issues with ease and prioritize quickly and effectively. •Facilitate effective team interaction. Resulting in detailed technical requirements documentation. •Work closely with project management to estimate and forecast resource needs, labor spend and project duration. •Drive the selection, standardization and consolidation of vendors and tools. •Manage user expectations effectively and in a timely manner. •Identify optimization opportunities and propose solutions. •Contribute to technology strategy by identifying, assessing, and recommending external trends in technology.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities •Ability to prepare and present project status, ideas, and analytics to upper level management. •Experience with project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize). •Proactive focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience and drive to achieve successful customer and business outcomes. •Self-starter who works well under pressure, has great judgment, and knows how to prioritize and handle multiple projects/deliverables. •Strong planning, process, analytical, and data driven decision making skills. •Expertise in the areas of requirements gathering, diagramming & documentation, software / technology evaluation and selection. •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. •Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management and others outside the organization. •Working knowledge of SQL, EDI X12, DOMO, Telematics.
Education and Experience •Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology or similar field required. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for each year of education required. •5+ years in information technology or TMS, WMS, Optimization, ERP Implementation in a technical capacity •5+ years managing a team of technical support specialists and a proven experience leading and scaling post-sale service delivery teams. •Experience implementing WMS, TMS, or ERP integrated systems.
