The Associate Business Analyst role is responsible for assisting in identifying, evaluating, and designing technology-based business solutions to solve complex business problems. Under the guidance of senior team members, the incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business processes, workflows, data models, and other system artifacts. This role will support opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements and is responsible for contributing to the documentation of functional and technical specifications that define system requirements and articulate how systems will meet business goals. The incumbent will also participate in the process of applying system settings and options and assist the team with planning and executing testing to ensure new or modified systems meet business requirements. The incumbent is familiar with software development lifecycle methodologies and has a basic understanding of system testing and quality assurance principles. They will get acquainted with database management, SQL, web development technologies, and packaged software applications. They will provide general support for process modeling and requirements gathering and leverage their research capabilities to support the development and evaluation of third-party solutions or technologies that support business process improvements. The incumbent will also help draft system documentation, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials. They will assist in monitoring system metrics such as uptime, response times, and error rates to drive system optimization and performance improvements. Schedule and attend the sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and assist in developing journey maps and personas Research and gather helpful sources to support documentation of business processes, workflows, data models, and other artifacts to capture the current and future states of business systems Work with senior team members to document functional and technical specifications for new or modified systems, processes, and procedures Participate in collaboration between software developers, data analysts, and testers to assist in ensuring new systems or changes to existing systems meet the defined business requirements, are delivered timely, and within budget Organize requirements for system settings and options to meet business goals under the guidance of experienced team members Support team in conducting research on third-party solutions or technologies and gather insights related to their features, benefits, and drawbacks Assist in updating and maintaining system documentation and gather insights related to accuracy and completeness of process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials Review and monitor system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, and report up to senior team members with a summary of metric data Research and stay current with the industry trends and emerging technologies to help identify potential opportunities to improve existing business systems and processes Support the team in preparation for training sessions for end-users, as needed Education Required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 2 years of experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT (work experience or a combination of education and work e
