What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Communications Technologist to join our Field Intelligence Element team. This candidate will support the installation of local and remote data and voice communications equipment, such as terminals, modems, videoconferencing units, concentrators, minicomputers, and pagers. As well as, ensuree that all hardware and software, including network control programs, satisfies communication needs. On any given day, you may be called on to:
Prepares appropriate network documentation, including operational instructions.
Liaises with outside vendors and orders circuits and equipment, as required.
Develops recommendations for the combined usage of data processing and telephone system hardware and software.
Supports learning systems and video production.
Works with broadcast quality projection, presentation, and video production equipment, including multichannel audio mixers, audio equalizers, multimedia and multiscreen presentations, and various video recording and playback formats.
Interacts with customers for in-house communication events.
Recommends purchasing hardware and software and coordinates and performs installation.
Requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, installing, and integrating video and audio for live production, post-production, and projection systems.
Due to the nature of the work, this candidate must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$60,300 - $116,000
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
High School diploma, plus 3 years of relevant experience.
Support and setup of Videoconferences and Videoconference equipment.
Experience with Cisco and Crestron software and equipment.
Experience and knowledge of collaboration software such as Teams, Jabber, etc.
Experience with security requirements within a highly secure environment.
Active DOE Q Clearance or DoD Secret, and ability to obtain and maintain SCI Clearance which may include a polograph test.
Qualifications We Desire:
Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
Ability to work effectively with team members and independently with minimal supervision.

About Our Team:
The Field Intelligence Element (FIE) performs high-impact, national security work for a broad segment of the Intelligence Community (IC). As part of the FIE Operations team, the Information Technology Services department enables the reliable and timely delivery of secure IT products and services to satisfy the unique requirements of the IC. Our IT products and services include servers, virtual environments, desktops, networking, storage and applications.
Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
