Director of Business Intelligence

Triad Financial Services is a leading provider of financial services and solutions, serving clients in the US. We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Business Intelligence to join our growing team.The Director of Business Intelligence (BI) will lead the BI strategy and operations at Triad Financial Services, focusing on harnessing data to drive informed business decisions. This role is responsible for overseeing BI tools, reporting, data analytics, and ensuring the organization maximizes the value of its data assets. The Director of BI will collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that enhance business performance.This is a full time, remote position with a salary range of $130K to $150K depending on experience, education, job match, with consideration of cost of living in your geographic location. We offer a full benefits package that includes a 401k with corp. matching, 3 weeks of PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance available on Day 1, tuition reimbursement and more!Key Responsibilities of the position:Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with business goals and objectives.Capital Management Plan: Data analytics to control originations, funding, and liquidity needs, along with optimizing loan sales channels (bank/CU channels, revenue optimization, and risk management).Data Analytics for Underwriting and Servicing: Develop and implement tools and strategies to enhance data analytics, governing underwriting criteria and servicing resourcing based on loan performance. Oversee the development and delivery of insightful data reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.Leadership: Lead and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their BI needs and translate them into actionable solutions.BI Tools Management: Oversee the administration and optimization of BI tools and other analytics platforms.Data Governance: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data through robust data governance practices.Performance Improvement: Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements through advanced data analysis.Innovation: Stay current on BI trends and technologies to ensure the company adopts the most effective tools and methodologies.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party BI vendors and service providers as needed.Reporting: Present high-level data insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications we would like to see from you:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and data governance.Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience in managing BI projects and initiatives.Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and statistical analysis.Preferred Skills:Experience in the financial services industry.Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS for data management and analysis.Certifications in BI tools or data analytics.Key Competencies of a successful Director of BI:Strategic ThinkingLeadership and Team DevelopmentProblem-Solving and Analytical SkillsCommunication and Presentation SkillsCollaboration and Relationship Management
