Job Description

10-12 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar roleStrong hands on experience with Performance Tuning and OptimizationExpertise with backups, restores and recovery modelsHands on experience in implementing and administration of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerExperience with Windows server, including Active DirectoryExpertise in Installation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server InstancesConfigure and maintain database servers and processesEnsure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and securityCreate Users and assign permissions based on the level of database access the user would needAnalyze, solve, and correct issues in real timeProvide suggestions for solutionsDesign database backup and restore strategyTroubleshoot various problems that arise in the day-to-day operations and fix the issuesMonitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning to include index optimizationsRefine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changesAssist developers with query tuning and schema refinementDatabase growth vs disk space available, audits, resource monitoring (I/O bottlenecks, memory pressure, CPU use)Manage Maintenance PlansPerform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.Monitor backups to ensure they are being performed regularly.From time to time recover the databases to a specific point of time, as per the requests.
