About the OrganizationDRNY, the Protection and Advocacy System and the Client Assistance Program for New York State is seeking an individual with a passion for achieving justice for individuals with disabilities. With a focus on civil rights and disability justice, DRNY actively works to break down the systemic oppression of all people with disabilities. DRNY recognizes the intersecting legacies and effect of ableism, white supremacy, colonial capitalism, and gendered oppression on people with disabilities. Description
The Executive Assistant provides confidential project and administrative support to all members of the Executive Team. The Executive Assistant is also a liaison with the Board and program council members.
Essential Functions
The Executive Assistant performs a wide range of duties, including the following:Support Executive Staff including Executive Director, CFO, Legal Director, Marketing Director, and HR Director;Answer calls for the Executive Staff and return calls as necessary;Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics;Conserve Executive Staff's time by reading, researching, routing, logging and filing correspondence;Draft, edit, and format letters and documents;Write, proofread, and edit brochures, newsletters, and other documents;Write for a variety of audiences in different tones and voices;Update social media to continuously engage the online community;Assist with the development and execution of social media strategies;Assist with the development and management of the DRNY website, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;Create branded content that best supports DRNY's mission and communication goals; Take notes during board and advisory council meetings and distribute as required;Collect and analyze information and report findings;Assist in the preparation and distribution of confidential and other information for Board and committee meetings;Assist in the coordination of meetings, materials, and record management for Executive Staff, Corporate and Board committees, and Advisory Councils as assigned;Plan and coordinate meetings, conferences, teleconferences, travel, food, hotels, and vendors;Assist in filing litigation materials, communication with courts, and maintaining records;Answer or direct client inquiries;Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information;Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques;May be asked to provide multilingual client support;Participation in committees, task forces, and other organization-wide groups;Back up office management team; andOther tasks as assigned.Qualifications
Prior experience supporting multiple executives preferred;Working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); graphics software, and other platforms like Canva, Asana, Hootsuite;Experience in marketing and communications with a focus on Social Media and GraphicsExperience working with or for people with disabilities preferred;Fast and accurate keyboarding;Strong research skills;Strong communications skills;Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task;Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals;Multilingual skills preferred;Must work and reside in New York State;Bachelor's degree preferred;
Working Conditions
The Executive Assistant may be asked to perform work in an office environment and at off-site locations. This position will be hybrid and often working remotely. The role requires some travel within and outside the state as necessary. The role requires occasional work after-hours.
The annualized salary range for the Executive Assistant position is between $55,000 and $65,000.

Full-time employees also receive generous paid time off benefits and are eligible for our SEP IRA and 403 (b) retirement plans.
