Job Description & Requirements Specialty: DOU - Direct Observation Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/18/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel About the position Position / Specialty: RN Surgical Short Stay/Observation Shift: 3x12s, 730a-8p (M-F) with Saturday rotation Ratios: 1:4 Weekend REQ: days 2 Saturdays per month Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): No Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities? Yes. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2yr First-timers accepted: yes License REQ: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license Certs REQ : BLS, ACLS Trauma Level REQ: no Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Special Requirements: Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 820 Scrub Color: Navy blue scrubs, or royal blue (can get OR scrub access) Charting: EPIC Parking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage, additional fees may be incurred. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year.
