Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the company President. This position requires a highly organized, proactive, resourceful and adaptable individual who can manage a diverse range of administrative and strategic tasks in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. There will be a heavy emphasis on drafting written correspondence and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage and maintain the President's calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangementsOrganize complex calendars and schedules, while proactively identifying and resolving any scheduling issuesCoordinate and facilitate communication between the President and internal/external stakeholdersOrganize and prepare materials for executive meetings, board meetings, and other key eventsPrepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents as neededTake minutes during meetings and distribute them to relevant parties, ensuring follow-up on action itemsRepresent the company and the President positively through professional communication, strong follow-through skills and sound judgmentAssist with planning and coordinating events, conferences, and other activitiesHandle logistics for off-site meetings and events involving the leadership teamManage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretionMaintain and organize shared documents, reports, and other resources for the leadership teamFoster a collaborative environment by encouraging open communication and teamworkBe responsive to emails/texts/phone calls, with contact outside of normal business hoursRead, research, collect, and analyze information as needed to support strategic decision makingGather feedback from leadership team members on processes and workflowsPropose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectivenessAd hoc projects and tasks as assigned to support the President and CHSN as a wholeMinimum Qualifications and Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Communications, or related field required5+ years of experience in as an executive assistant, preferably supporting C-level executives and/or equivalent experience in the sports/media industryHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with eagerness to learn new software and systemsVery strong business writing skillsKeen interest in learning about the industry and staying up to date on news and trendsExceptional organizational, communication, and time management skillsAbility to navigate ambiguity, exercise flexibility, and demonstrate willingness to do what it takes to get the job done in a fast-paced environmentAbility to anticipate needs and take immediate actionStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to build trust and collaborative relationships at all levels of the organizationStrong commitment to always maintaining confidential information and embodying professionalism
The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) launched in October across multiple platforms. The network will air more than 300 live Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games annually and include pre- and postgame coverage while showing multisport programming 24 hours a day. CHSN will broadcast from studios located in both Chicago's United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The network will start airing Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games in October, showing White Sox games beginning in 2025.
