ITW Electrostatics, a division of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW), part of Test, Measurement and Electronics segment is industry leading manufacturer and designer of static control devices for equipment makers and end users. Electrostatics division revenues are ~$250MM per year and it is headquartered in Hatfield, PA USA. Division has operations in USA, Europe, China, and Asia, including nine manufacturing plants and 500+ employees. ITW Air Management has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineering Manager to join our team. This role is key in optimizing our assembly processes, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to lead continuous improvement and implement best practices. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with 3-5 years of experience in a technical field and is looking to gain more experience leading a team. This individual will report to the Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Engineering:

  • Troubleshoot and optimize processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement innovative solutions for process optimization and product simplification.

  • Utilize data analysis tools to identify areas for improvement and drive optimization efforts.

  • Coordinates physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing in-lining methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Continuously improve inventory control systems to minimize months on hand while maintaining adequate stock levels to support market rate of demand.

  • Facilitate team events and other improvement projects to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

  • Maintain KPIs to track progress and measure the success of improvement initiatives and employee recommendations.

  • Other duties as assigned

Facility Management:

  • Oversees the maintenance of a small plant, including utilities, HVAC systems, and production facilities.

  • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

  • Manage facility plans to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

  • Administers plant capital and building improvements for approval.

  • Manage facility vendors.

Team Management, Training & Development:

  • Provide leadership and direction to operations team to achieve production targets and quality standards.

  • Hold daily operations meetings to expose issues, task resolution and ensure consistent communication.

  • Work with Site Manager to build individual development plans and provide coaching and feedback to support their growth and progression.

  • Participate in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning for the operational staff.

  • Identify training and development needs within the organization and develop programs to address them.

  • Coordinate employee training initiatives.

  • Ensure your own professional development while building programs based on feedback and emerging best practices in leadership development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • 3 – 5 years experience in Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Plant Operations.

  • Training or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
