POSITION SUMMARY
The Delivery/Shipment Handler receives and prepares items (letters, packages, boxes, etc) for distribution to World Headquarters' employees or for shipping/mailing as needed. Must follow all US Postal regulations and established internal protocols for preparation, shipment, and delivery of items.
COMPENSATIONFull-time hourly position with benefitsRemuneration: Grade 2 (15.65 - $23.51)BENEFITS
Hourly employees are eligible for benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans, with eligibility based on hours worked.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Processes and/or prepares air freight, express packages, FedEx, DHL, and Post Office shipments per established department protocols.Prepares and reviews FedEx and USPS bills of lading, invoices, and data reports monthly as assigned.Receives mail/shipments and processes them for delivery and/or storage per established schedule and protocols.Collects and delivers mail/packages per established schedule.Processes outgoing mail for regular, bulk, and permit-mailing per US Postal Service and internal protocols.Computes cost of mail permits from postage meter readings.Loads and unloads trucks as needed.Maintains current knowledge of US Postal regulations and complies with the same.Reports needed repairs and or maintenance to supervisor in a timely manner.When the building is closed for reasons other than weather, employee may be required to work limited schedule.Refers any issues or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.Must maintain a regular and reliable attendance schedule.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.No previous experience is necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of principles and beliefs of the General Conference and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.Knowledge of US Postal regulations and the location of GC departments must be acquired. About six months will be required to learn the various shipping regulations and GC department locations.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).Able to learn how to operate software programs for: NeoPost, DHL, FedEx, UPS. •Work is repetitive and routine, although some situations may periodically arise involving minor decision making.Proficient English language skills in verbal and written forms.
