Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking a patient-focused, team oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. Our staff works together in taking care of our patient's needs and has been doing so for decades.

Rooming patients, set up and assisting with procedures and recording the control logs.

Job Duties:

Rooming patients. Set up and assisting with procedures.Filling out all logs needed to keep compliance.Wound check, suture/staple removal, and teaching of wound care.Specimen collection and handling: Venipuncture, U/A's, and Prostate tissue.Injections: Lupron, Depo-provera, Testosterone and collagen skin testing.Urethral catheter insertion/removal, S/P catheter insertion/removal, Voiding trials, Bladder installations and teaching of self-catheterization.Impotence testing: Doppler studies and Biothesiometry.Results: reviewing, sorting, and calling patients.Chart check: review of charts to prepare for the doctor. Phones: handling all incoming calls from patients and answer any questions the patients might have.Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, emailing, reviewing and editing of documents, filing and record keeping.Performs related work as required.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing and walking for periods of time. Some bending, lifting, and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations. Involves contact with patients. Occasional pressure due to multiple patients being seen by the doctor.

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge of the Back-Office procedures. Skill in operating the practice management systems. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to handle stressful situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Certificates/Licenses Preferred:

Certified Medical Assistant a plus / Bilingual a plus
