Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: MS/Tele Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or LA license required upon submission Certifications: - BLS - Telemetry - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Must-Have: - Experience with on-unit monitoring - Experience with CABG - Chest tube management - Experience with post-angiogram, MI, Cardiac Cath, and sheath removal - Port accessing - Blood product administration - Central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management - Starting IVs - Titrate cardiac drips - Titrate vasoactive drips - Isolation precautions - Wound care/management Job Description: - Accommodate first-time applicants with 2 years of experience in specialty- Handle patient diagnoses such as chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope- Manage med-surg overflow cases like GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, and COVID positive patients- Assist with pre/post cath lab care, PPM/AICD, ablations, and vascular surgeries (CEAs, fem-pops)- Responsible for titration of drips like Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, and Dopamine- Perform sheath removal at bedside- Expected to work every other holiday- May be assigned to other inpatient units as needed- Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests, such as block schedulingCandidates are expected to adhere to vaccination requirements, with medical or religious exemptions as applicable, and to ensure documents such as NURSYS Reports are up-to-date prior to submission. Orientation includes 8 hours of training.
