The SAIC Controller's organization currently has an opening for an
Accounting Analyst
position within the
Accounting Services & Transformation
department. This position is 100% remote nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, Accounting Professional for our fast-paced department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad level of accounting functions performed throughout the company.Working in the department will provide unique and rotating responsibilities, regular interactions with multiple financial organizations, and highly challenging tasks that are sure to keep you constantly learning something new.
This position will be responsible for multiple tasks such as supporting management monitoring of SAIC policies and procedures, providing accounting support for special projects, performing SOX and DFARS control testing, assisting with various audit requests, and many others.The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of activities, which requires an understanding of SAIC policies/procedures and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:Perform quarterly monitoring of SAIC's procedures across the organization.Prepare and distribute biweekly and quarterly reports to management and stakeholders.Support Internal, External and Government audit requests through coordination with various departments, including gathering and reviewing of documentation to ensure compliance with CAS, FAR and SAIC policies.Assist with SOX and DFARS control testing by selecting samples, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, identifying issues, and documenting conclusions.Communicate findings and observations to management and stakeholders clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form.Aid in developing and executing process improvements and remediation plans based on audit findings.Provide accounting support through reporting and analysis for various organizations.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics to enhance workflow efficiency.Assist management as required supporting various ad-hoc requests, working with individuals in and outside of the finance organization.Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related discipline from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.US Citizenship Required.General knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Candidate must be a self-motivated, proactive professional with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics tools, and must possess the acumen for robust task prioritization and management with minimal oversight.Candidate must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building with team members and management alike, while confidently working independently.Desired Qualifications:Experience in Government Contracting, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).Previous exposure to SAIC policies, procedures, and experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Power BI, and Power Automate highly desirable.
