Rapid Response Registered Nurse
The Rapid Response Registered Nurse will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster response operations and manage temporary facility support services. The Rapid Response Registered Nurse Manager also develops and implements protocols and processes to optimize the team's response time, improve patient outcomes, and enhance communication among various departments. They play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of emergency care and maintaining patient safety in high-stress situations.

Rapid Response Registered Nurse
Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Rapid Response Registered Nurse Responsibilities Include:
Provides critical care expertise for patients who demonstrate signs of imminent clinical deteriorationAdministers medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providersEducates patients on managing health conditions, medications, and preventive measuresMaintains accurate and updated patient records, including progress notes, medication administration, and test resultsMonitors and ensures patient safety, identifying and reporting any changes in condition or potential risksOversees medical triage, treatment, and evaluationsAdheres to Quality Assurance and Quality Control, SOPs, and Site Manager guidance and directionCreates site-specific medical plans and ensure HIPAA-compliant security and storage of medical documentationManages all medical administration and record keepingProvides timely coordination with medical staff to ensure proper reviews and notifications of utility outages and facility tasksEnsures all medical personnel follow all processes and guidelinesProvide daily reports and logs to Site ManagerPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRapid Response Registered Nurse Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
A bachelor's degree in NursingMinimum of five (5) years of experience providing critical care preferably within a disaster rapid response environmentTravel Nurses with FEMA or HHS experience preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are not required but preferredWorking knowledge of the medical design criteria, the Uniform Facility Criteria (UFC's)Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written meansAbility to remain calm in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies.Ability to provide medical care within a difficult environmentAbility to disseminate information and ensure it is processed properlyAdvanced knowledge of disaster services and community resources; Federal, state, tribal and territorial disaster assistance programs, housing & utility assistanceProficient in utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint, and SharePointThe ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatoryPast applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Rapid Response Team Member, ER Nurse Manager, or Critical Care Nurse ManagerMust pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee FederalCompany Information:
