Job Title: Medical Receptionist Job Specialty: Urogynecology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 07:30 - 16:00 (40 Hours/Week); Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Experience: Preferred experience in a medical office as a receptionist or in clerical roles License: Not Applicable Certifications: CPR certification preferred Must-Have: Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong sense of accountability, teamwork focus, dedication to ongoing education, passion for delivering high-quality care, ability to travel to various locations Job Description: - Provides reception and clerical services under the supervision of the practice manager and physicians for patients and visitors.- Manage communication with efficiency and courtesy, complying with HIPAA guidelines and office policy.- Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome and important.- Assist patients with the sign-in process and respond promptly to their needs.- Support financial responsibilities, including staying informed about reimbursement and billing procedures, verifying information accurately, and managing daily cash receipts.- Monitor general office supply inventory and equipment, notifying when supplies are low, and initiate ordering when needed.- Manage the patient check-in process, verifying demographic information, insurance eligibility, and collection of co-payments and balances.- Ensure the patient check-out process is completed accurately and timely, including charge slip reviews, posting charges and payments, collecting balances, and scheduling future appointments.- Promote patient satisfaction with excellent service and communicate potential issues to the direct manager.- Maintain an efficient and accurate filing and record maintenance system.- Assemble new patient folders and manage records according to the protocol.- Adapt work schedule to meet practice needs, working additional hours when requested to maintain adequate coverage and cross-cover as necessary.- Serve as a pre-loader for the EMR system.- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.The role requires floating between two different facilities, with a 30-minute drive between locations. Experience with EPIC is preferred, but not required. Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
