Lease Accountant
Key Role:Serve as part of the General Accounting team to support moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. Review and abstract lease data to support lease accounting,assisting with the accounting close, recording journal entries, and account reconciliations, supporting DCAA and internal audits, providing reporting and analysis, and completing ad hoc tasks. Work under general supervision and assist with the development of audit procedures and controls to meet Government Accounting Compliance requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.Basic Qualifications:3+ years ofexperience with finance or general accounting
Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842
Experience with preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Experience with supporting monthly and quarterly financial close processes
Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards
Ability to identify accounting irregularities and discrepancies
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Additional Qualifications:Experience with government cost accounting principles
Experience working in Deltek Costpointand CoStar Real Estate Manager
Experience in creating complex spreadsheets and formulas
Ability to develop solutions from limited information using analysis
Possession of advanced Excel skills
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of management
CPA License or CPA Candidate Certification
