Overview

This role is part of the global Chief Security Office (CSO) team based in Cary. You will be responsible for the design and engineering of network security solutions delivered by the CSO Chief Technology Office (CTO). You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank's network security infrastructure. This will include the evaluation, development and implementation of network security tooling, and controls. You will work closely with key stakeholders across networks, operations, architecture, and production support functions.

As a Network Security Engineer, you will have a wide breath of responsibility including system architecture, tool deployment, integrations, troubleshooting, vendor engagement, and documentationProvide expertise and thought leadership on security and network technologies with an emphasis on requirements, design, and best practice implementationEngineer tools, on premise and cloud. Develop automation, integrations, and monitoringIdentify, scope, and design network tool implementation plans. Produce high quality documentationTake ownership of deliverables, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Establish product support procedures, serve as final L3 engineering escalationSkills You'll Need

Moderate experience with network and security engineering, designing, and deploying solutions in large scale, enterprise networksBachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Security, Network, or Cloud certifications including CISSP, CCSP, CCNAExperience with routing, switching, firewalls, and network security technologies and protocols. Knowledge of Network Detection & Response, network monitoring, packet capture, NIPS/NIDS. Splunk or other SIEM, configuration, integration, and log analysisDevOps experience across Cloud (GCP) and UNIX (RHEL) systems using TerraformStrong knowledge in current security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologiesSkills That Will Help You Excel

Logical, innovative, articulate, with the proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical teams and individualsHighly proactive self-starting ethos, strong customer focus, strong work ethic, and exceptional problem-solving skillsExperienced working with various level of stakeholders, multi-cultural global teams, spanning multiple time zones

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 - $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
