Information Security Engineer

We are searching for an experienced Information Security Engineer at our Anchorage AC 2525 Gambell STE 415 facility.

Alasconnect is currently seeking an outgoing, problem solver who likes to manage projects and provide security solutions for its Information Security Engineer. If you like resolving potential IT security threats, designing technology strategies, and sharing your knowledge with others, this is the position for you. This position creates security tools and processes to protect client electronic information, implements systems, monitor security incidents, and provide appropriate security solutions.

If you have at least three years' experience in the field, and have good knowledge of information security, assurances practices, systems principals, architecture, and design troubleshooting, we want you to join our team.

Essential FunctionsConducts professional service engagements for assessments of information security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)Designs and documents specifications for technical, administrative, and physical controls to demonstrate compliance, ensuring that regulatory and compliance obligations are metDevelops compliance remediation strategiesDevelops, maintains, and researches security compliance products and professional servicesIdentifies, analyzes, evaluates, and documents information security risks and controls based on established risk criteriaReviews control gaps and escalates critical issues to key stakeholdersRecommends controls to mitigate security risks identified via risk assessment processCommunicates risk findings and recommendations that are clear and actionable by business stakeholdersLeads workforce security activities including culture, awareness, and trainingResearches, recommends, and contributes to information security polices, standards, and proceduresThis is a full-time, exempt, salaried position, DOE, located in Anchorage, AK, Fairbanks, AK, or remote.
