About the job Floor Inspector / Quality
The Quality - Floor Inspector ensures that parts being produced in the manufacturing areas are quality parts as defined in the procedure manual and the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. The Floor Inspector reports to the Quality Supervisor(s) and Manager.
Responsibilities:
Visually inspect last shot cast and last shot trimmedCheck production parts for good qualityDocument inspection result on log and Quality InstructionsUse all gauges that are providedReport to foundry foreman any conditions that do not meet customer or internal quality specifications or standardsReview rejected productionCommunicate with operator and/or degator regarding quality concernsRecord amount of rejected castings and the reason for rejection(s) on the inspection reportRecord any pertinent information relation to production on the inspection reportHandle non-conforming material as defined in the procedure manualExperience:
High school diploma or GEDCombination of education, training, and relevant experience in qualityHave basic math skillsAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
