The Director is responsible for providing support to the DOT Chief Information Officer (CIO) and serves as the accountable executive for managing and overseeing FHWA's mission Information Technology (IT) resources in a manner consistent with FHWA and Departmental missions and program objectives, and consistent with applicable laws, regulations, principles, and standards. This position reports to the FHWA Associate Administrator for Administration.As a basic requirement for entry into the Senior Executive Service (SES), you must clearly articulate and describe

must provide information regarding your professional experience and accomplishments that demonstrate you meet these technical qualifications.Demonstrated experience in developing and executing a modern, secure and scalable IT strategy to solve complex mission/business challenges for an agency with a national footprint, that strengthens the ability to carry out a wide range of mission objectives ranging from connected vehicle technologies to complex financial systems.Demonstrated experience in the following: (1) Data Governance, Data Management and Data Visualization techniques to support a multi-disciplinary nationwide organization. Experience ideally includes both the governance of internal data for management decision making and reporting to external parties, as well as the use of statistics and data from State and Industry to assist in program development and policy making, (2) Records management and issuance of agency policy directives.EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs):
