ManagementThis is a temporary position.Marriott has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer – Corporate Systems. This role is part of the team focused on deploying new and emerging capabilities to our next generation cloud-based HR, Payroll, analytics, and machine learning platforms. Appropriate candidates have a passion for emerging technologies with a vision for building sustainable and scalable products and a strong drive for success.Responsibilities:Function as a front-end Application Developer for HR and Payroll Products.Drive the front-end component and service architecture for custom applications developed for HR and payroll product domains.Perform research, analysis, design, and development on a wide range of next generation Front-end Application development and API capabilities and products.Set technical standards and develop reusable frameworks to ensure secure, consistent, and efficient creation of UI/UX capabilities and products.Develop Low Level Solution Designs, Proof of Concepts & Support minor Discoveries.Provide L3 Support for Critical Production Issues and perform review & support of Application Testing Strategy.Assume technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and lead their technical resources to ensure deliverables are of high quality.Monitor projects by Service Provider to successful completion, maintaining quality and productivity.Research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities and seek solutions for complex technical issues.Make decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics based decisioning by Marriott business teams.Candidate Profile:Education and Experience:Required Qualifications:7-10 years of professional software development experience building on highly scalable web front ends using open-source technologies.Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, Spring.Experience with SQL and no SQL Databases, and indexes such as Couchbase, Elastic Search.Hands-on experience on API design and building distributed applications using Microservices leveraging spring boot, API Gateway.Working knowledge of SOA using RESTful web services and API platform integrations.Experience with Automation, Git, CI/CD, Release Management processes and Application Deployments.Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OIC).Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to both Product owners and Enterprise Architects.Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests while working on time-sensitive projects.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using Kubernetes and/or Docker.Experience in using Kafka.CI/CD experience with Harness and/or Jenkins.Monitoring and alerting tools experience with Dynatrace and/or Splunk.Technology leadership experience in a sourced or internally managed environment.Core Work Activities:Trains and/or mentors other team members.Identifies opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.Supports existing applications and large projects in a minimum of one environment.Validates completeness of requirements prior to Service Provider solutions.Ensures all projects follow the defined development and business case processes.Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $58.60 to $83.13 per hour.Benefits:
