Chief Financial Officer (CFO)A prominent nonprofit organization located in Portland, OR, is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will focus on financial stewardship and identifying future growth opportunities. This position presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact through strategic contributions to the organization’s long-term vision and development initiatives.This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite in Portland, Oregon.Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate financial operations for the organization ensuring compliance with GAAP.Oversee preparation and monitoring of annual operating and capital budgets, assisting management in departmental budget development and performance analysis.Supervise and mentor team members to ensure effective financial management.Recommend financial policies, ensure compliance with policies and internal controls, and serve as Tax Compliance Officer.Participate in long-range planning and provide financial analysis and reports to the Board.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA a plus.8 years of progressive financial management experience with recent exposure to service-oriented industries (property management, hospitality, retirement living).Tech-savvy with ERPs, financial reporting systems, and advanced Excel skills.Highly collaborative with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically, effectively problem solve, and make decisions.Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage and delegate competing tasks and priorities.BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible full-time employees.
