The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Senior Analyst (Limited Term) for the Center for Families, Children & the Courts (CFCC), Access to Justice unit.This is a regular, full-time, limited term assignment for a duration of no more than 2 years, funded by the 2024 Budget Act to provide analytical support to the Firearm Relinquishment Grant program.The Senior Analyst will be part of a dynamic team that will oversee the $40 million Firearm Relinquishment Grant program, established by the 2022 Budget Act, to ensure that firearms are properly relinquished from individuals court-ordered to do so. This position will be responsible for:Overseeing grants awarded to courts under this program, including fiscal oversight.Funding solicitations if necessary.Working with the program evaluator to identify and collect data necessary to measure program effectiveness.Identifying program needs for training and technical assistance.Drafting required reports for the Legislature.Executing projects, as needed, to support the goals of the overall program.The Judicial CouncilThe Judicial Council of California is the policymaking body for the state court system and has constitutionally conferred statewide rule-making authority. This authority includes developing, advocating for, and allocating the judicial branch budget.The Judicial Council offers hybrid work arrangements for many positions. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person on Wednesdays at the Judicial Council’s San Francisco or Sacramento office and reside in the areas surrounding these locations. Beginning January 2025, employees will work in the office at least two days per week.
