simultaneously answer the phone, rock a baby to sleep, email a parent, offer feedback to a teacher, listen to Pitbull before drop off to pump up the team, and genuinely want to mentor teachers and play with children.Do you have a passion for mentoring, while working closely with Early Educators and families? We’re looking for a leader to co-direct alongside our current director to help mentor and support teachers and families.You will be the face of the school alongside our dedicated teachers. We strive to provide the best environment not only for our students but for our staff as well. We value our Early Educators and believe they have the power to make a difference in the lives of our children. We strive to make that difference by teaching through nature-based play, allowing our students opportunities for self-discovery.This is NOT a full-time office job. This is a full-time mentoring role!
We are a program built around SUPPORT, which is rare in the Early Childhood Education field. You would be spending a majority of your time in the classrooms helping support teachers and maintaining best practices. You will be tasked with all the duties a normal Director would do in terms of enrollment to hiring, but that should only take a small portion of each day!Duties
Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the vision and with state and local requirements. Maintain quality effectiveness measurements.Develop general educational curriculum; collaborate with staff to develop positive learning activities; manage adherence to state and local regulations.Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students through direct conversation, newsletters and parent handbook; implement community outreach activities to maintain and promote positive community relationships.Maintain school supplies and snacks.Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies.Resolve conflicts (including corrective action when necessary) to ensure a positive experience for everyone.Train and mentor staff.Establish illness and emergency procedures; ensure staff is trained appropriately.Implement a strategic plan and goals in keeping with the mission of the program.Lead monthly staff meetings.Oversee and maintain professional development compliance for all staff.Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Provide encouragement designed to support the teaching staff's goals.Dedication to exploring nature and the natural environment.Be skilled at time management and be able to handle multiple tasks.Requirements
Program Pedagogista must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.Must be Qualified as a Teacher Associate.Successful completion of a three (3) college credit course in program management for early care and education, and a three (3) college credit course in curriculum.2 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.High energy.Strong oral and written communication skills; technology skills.Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.A strong understanding of child development.Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Nice To Haves
Previous mentor/leader experience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.Teaching LicenseWill offer a higher salary if you have a teacher’s license.Benefits
