The temporary position will focus on the research and application of client retainer funds. This position will also need to process client refunds in the event of overpayments, duplicate payments, or stale retainer balances. This position has the knowledge and know-how to delve into the Aderant system to determine the proper application or refund of client balances.This temporary position is anticipated to last 3 - 5 months depending on the needs of the department.Job Duties:
Thoroughly review client retainer balances and apply to invoices or refund to clients.Ensure all client balances are for active clients with open WIP and AR.Communicate client balances to the appropriate team so they can be used against future WIP and AR.Work with collectors to solve unapplied cash issues.Process refunds to clients.Transfers from unapplied to the retainer accounts.Required Skills:
Customer service focused and team oriented.Prior experience working with the Aderant or equivalent system.High school diploma required. Accounting courses a plus.Prior cash receipts or other accounting related experience.Ability to research and solve daily tasks independently.Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $24.52 - $33.17 per hour.The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
