WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Workers' Compensation Compliance Lead is a hybrid role, functioning as both an individual contributor and team lead, responsible for the development and compliance of workers' compensation processes across the enterprise. This role designs training programs and supports ongoing education in workers' compensation quoting, binding, and policy management for both Headland and external carriers. It also oversees compliance across all 50 states and assists with underwriting for both new prospects and existing clients. Responsibilities include:

Lead training and development for workers' compensation underwriting, pricing, and policy support across all ProService entities.

Oversee workers' compensation compliance for ProService and its owned entities.

Manage annual renewals and pricing updates for outside carriers.

Supervise Hawaii-based underwriting activities.

Support annual excess insurance renewal preparation, renewal meetings, and carrier relationships.

Assist with carrier placements, including quoting, Accord submissions, and binding documents. Provide guidance on codes and rates.

Facilitate state fund and residual market placements, liaising with state insurance departments as needed.

Support annual audits with external carriers and assist with compliance audits for the captive program.

Contribute to other pricing and compliance functions as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with 5+ years of workers' compensation underwriting experience preferred.

Expertise in workers' compensation compliance, especially in multi-state environments.

Experience managing accounts with premiums over $100k annually.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and lookups.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

Competitive Pay & Benefits : We believe in recognizing and rewarding your hard work. The pay range for this role is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
