Enterprise Data Architecture Consultant
We are seeking a dynamic Enterprise Data Architecture Consultant to join our Enterprise Architecture team in a fully remote position. This high-impact role focuses on the development of data architecture strategies and their implementation across a wide range of initiatives such as cloud data transformation, data governance, and analytics. The ideal candidate will influence the foundations of our data ecosystem, ensuring it supports current and future business needs, leveraging innovative cloud and big data technologies. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the data architecture landscape of a leading organization, driving significant projects like CRM integrations, Master Data Management (MDM), and Generative AI initiatives among others.
Compensation:
$160,000 - $200,000 annually, plus annual incentive bonus, signing bonus, full benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, parental leave, generous paid time off, and community volunteer time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and govern architectural views and blueprints depicting the Business and IT landscape in its current, transitional, and future state.
Recommend long-term strategic directions within the technical portfolio.
Define and maintain standards for artifacts containing architectural content within the operating model.
Build a Community of Practice for solutions architecture, leveraging architectural tools, processes, and practices.
Provide insights, guidance, and direction on emerging trends and technical capabilities.
Lead the development of architecture strategies to enhance cloud data transformation, data governance, and data science capabilities.
Design and implement reusable data architectures to support batch/streaming ingestion and real-time data integration.
Advocate for and ensure the adherence to data quality, standards, and consistent data infrastructure across the enterprise.
Guide and support data science teams in developing and executing data models and analytics solutions.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Strong expertise in cloud data architecture with a preference for Microsoft Azure.
At least 17 years of relevant experience in data architecture, data governance, MDM, or related fields.
Extensive experience with cloud data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure AD, Azure ML, etc.
Proficiency with big data technologies including Cloudera, Spark, Sqoop, Hive, HDFS, Flume, Storm, and Kafka.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts across various forums and effectively advocate for the importance of data governance practices.
Proven capability in leading software evaluations, RFP development, and delivery of executive presentations to support strategic decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft CoPilot.
Exposure to machine learning and natural language processing technologies such as TensorFlow and Python NLTK.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Expertise in data quality and data standards development.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage large-scale data architecture projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with multiple IT and business teams.
Strategic thinking with a strong analytical mindset.
