Hospice Giving Foundation is an independent foundation established in 1997. HG Foundation provides leadership and direction for exceptional end-of-life (EOL) care throughout Monterey and San Benito Counties. HG Foundation's programs include being the primary funder for EOL services, providing extensive public education on planning, preparedness, options for care, and effective communications, as well as convening clinicians and community leaders to collaborate on system improvements and professional education. HG Foundation works closely with funded agencies and partners to identify critical needs and prioritize funding to benefit individuals with serious illness, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals/organizations. HG Foundation is fully funded by local donors, businesses, and select foundations and through its 25-year history has granted more than $31MM to mission-related local non-profits.ABOUT THE POSITION
The President & CEO is responsible for ensuring the Foundation has clear strategic direction, adopts and implements best practice governance models, is transparent and authentic in operations, adheres to board-approved investment and spending policies, complies with regulatory requirements, applies equitable and objective standards to grantmaking, and in conjunction with the Board of Directors, maintains fiduciary oversight of the organization.COMPENSATION
