Position SummaryThe Benefits & Wellness Specialist will primarily be responsible for assisting the Head of Benefits and Wellness in administering TCW’s employee benefit programs for both U.S. and international offices and collaborating with colleagues in HR on initiatives and projects. This position will interact with internal clients across the organization and will play a crucial role in ensuring our employees receive comprehensive and competitive benefits, enhancing their overall satisfaction and well-being. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience in administration of benefit and wellness programs.Essential Duties
Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs.Conduct regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Provide ongoing support in researching and resolving member claims issues with carriers and brokers.Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, providing clear and concise information.Support open enrollment activities, including the development of communication materials, updating benefits administration system, and conducting informational sessions.Partner with third-party vendor to administer the employee Leaves of Absence process in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.Collaborate with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation of benefit programs.Analyze and report on benefit utilization, identify trends and make recommendations for plan improvements.Assist in the development, design, and implementation of wellness initiatives to promote employee health and well-being.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA.Prepare and submit required benefits-related data, such as 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, and other state and federal regulatory filings.Monitor and ensure adherence to benefits policies and procedures.Maintain Benefits Admin system.Support administration of benefit programs for offices outside of the U.S.Stay up to date with industry trends and legislative changes, ensuring the company remains compliant with all relevant regulations.Administer other Benefits & Wellness programs as assigned.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.5+ years’ experience in HR including experience with employee benefit programs in a professional industry.Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits and leaves of absence (COBRA, ERISA, HIPPA, ACA, FMLA, PDL, etc.) and notice and reporting obligations.Strong interest in the employee benefits field and emerging trends in employee benefits.Strong software skills including MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience working with HR software.Professional Skills Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills.Excellent organizational, project management, prioritization, and time management skills.Exercises good judgment, maintains strict confidentiality, and adheres to high standard of professional conduct.Self-motivated; works well independently and in a team environment.Strives to continuously improve processes and research and implement best practices.Thorough with high level of accuracy.Desired Qualifications
Financial services experience highly desired.Experience administering leave of absence programs highly desired.CEBS certification a plus.Estimated Compensation:Base Salary:
