Sofitel New York is seeking a Group Sales Manager with minimum one-year experience working in an upscale or luxury hotel, from a high profile, high demand market, as a Group Sales Coordinator or Sales Manager. What you will be doing:
As a Group Sales Manager, you will manage all aspects of selling and servicing groups, ensuring monthly and quarterly goals are achieved. This position requires working within tight response deadlines, while providing a professional, friendly and informative experience for our clients and guests.
You will work closely with our Operations teams, maintaining a positive relationship, communicating client needs and expectations through Group Resumes and related documents as needed. Accurately maintain accounts, contacts and related business activities within sales applications.
As our business is 24/7/365, working some nights and weekends may be necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
This position has an annual salary range of $75-85k.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Group Sales Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel environment.
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required.
Experience with Opera Cloud preferred.
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
1+ years’ experience in Sales and/or Event Planning role.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and use a trace system to ensure client communication is consistent and timely.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Quick learner who is inquisitive, detail-oriented, and creative.
Self-starter/self-motivated.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Deep understanding of the group sales process, market dynamics, and customer requirements in the luxury hospitality sector.
Ability to travel as needed.
