Proactively safeguarding critical data assets.Role Overview:As a Senior Managing Director of Incident Response & Global Managed Detection & Response (MDR), you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our global technical operations and technical delivery, driving innovation within the threat detection domain, and providing senior leadership for our global practice team members. The primary responsibility of the role will be to develop and implement go-to-market strategies around revenue growth, focusing on creation of business development opportunities and generating revenue for the Practice.This role is remote, located in the United States.Responsibilities:Driving practice-level revenue through new client relationships across industries, with particular focus in Incident Response & Managing Detection & Response (MDR).Lead and inspire a team of talented IR (U.S.) and MDR (Global) professionals, fostering a culture of technical expertise, collaboration, and client service excellence.Lead the global MDR shared services center responsible for providing 24x7x365 SOC/MDR services to clients located in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.Collaborate with senior practitioners to develop and implement go-to-market strategies related to driving revenue growth.Help grow the Cyber IR and MDR consulting practice and support commercial clients across a variety of industries.Utilize professional and personal network to identify new opportunities.Participate in business development by building relationships with current and future clients and working with business development professionals.Identify sales opportunities and progress from a lead to sold engagement.Effectively communicate with clients regarding existing projects and upselling of additional services.Work closely with the US, EMEA, and APAC IR leads to deliver exceptional service to our clients in a “follow the sun” 24/7 delivery model.Oversee network and endpoint monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response, ensuring swift and effective resolution of cyber incidents.Develop and implement cutting-edge security strategies and solutions, leveraging advanced SIEM tools, NGAV, EDR, XDR, and firewall technologies.Provide expert-level technical guidance to clients, tailoring solutions to their unique needs and advising on optimal response activities.Collaborate closely with client security teams, legal counsel, and Ankura leadership to ensure seamless response and communication.Drive continuous improvement within the IR and MDR practice, implementing innovative technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape.Provide strategic insights to leadership teams regarding market trends, service offerings, and staffing changes.Represent Ankura at industry events and conferences, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with extensive hands-on expertise in incident response and/or MDR operations.Proven revenue generation of $2.7MM to 3.5MM per year in consulting and/or professional services with significant client engagement experience.Existing relationships within law firms and insurance carriers.Proven track record of success in leading and motivating teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving results.Deep technical expertise in endpoint security, network traffic analysis, SIEM, and SOC operations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to connect effectively with clients and colleagues across all levels.Willing to travel if required and at short notice.Desired Certifications:Network +Security +GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA)GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)Why Ankura?Join a team of passionate and innovative experts at the forefront of cybersecurity.Work on high-impact projects that make a real difference in protecting organizations from cyber threats.Enjoy a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development.Receive competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for travel and training.Become part of a company committed to making a positive impact on the world.
