Private Equity AssociateA DC-based Private Equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join their team. The firm invests in middle-market companies and has completed over $1 billion in transactions thus far. The firm is industry agnostic, so this opportunity provides great exposure to many industries including business services, consumer, and healthcare. As a Private Equity Associate, you would have the opportunity to join a lean deal team and get extensive hands-on transaction exposure as well as work closely with management teams of portfolio companies to help execute growth strategy.The Private Equity Associate will be responsible for:Execution of broader market and industry researchFinancial modeling, valuation analysis, and returns analysis for various investment targetsTake point on due diligence processesMonitor existing investment portfolioAssisting the team with operating/portfolio company workThe Private Equity Associate should have the following qualifications:1-3 years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A with a reputable middle market or lower middle market bank; related transaction advisory consulting experience will also be consideredBachelor's DegreeSuperior financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills (there will be a modeling test)Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethicPrior experience or interest in sectors such as business services, industrials, healthcare and/or consumer
