Join our ‘ohana and be a part of an exciting team of professionals dedicated to serving our kama‘āina and introducing our islands to the world!Position SummaryReporting directly to the Vice President, HA Airport Operations and InFlight, the Director of Airport Operations/Cargo Training is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic vision, and fiscal aspects of training in support of the Airport Operations and Cargo Divisions. This position has an estimated duration of 12 months with the end date tied to the successful completion of specific company milestone projects. Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the team vision and support the division objectives with clearly defined goals and accountabilities; drive for performance utilizing transparent management style and effective performance management.Ensure training delivery is effective, consistent and up to established standards, meeting both regulatory and business requirements.Develop effective measures to continually evaluate and improve program content and delivery, resulting in high quality and cost-effective training programs.Manage the implementation of training and development programs, including project plans, resource planning, communication development, and budget management.Ensure curriculum is current and relevant, and delivery methods foster development of AO/Cargo staff.Maintain close working relationships with internal and external organizations, including: AO, Cargo, FAA, A4A, vendors, Flight, Inflight, and Tech Ops Divisions, HR, Safety, and IAM.Directly supervise the Assistant Managers, AO/Cargo Training, and the Instructors responsible for AO/Cargo training.Accountable for the performance management of AO/Cargo Training professionals.Oversee the development and publication of all training materials for the training curriculum.Oversee the annual budget requirements for the organization.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline, business or education, or equivalent experience.5 years management experience leading individual employees and teams.Experience in writing and presenting business cases, project management, financial analysis, and process improvement.Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal relationship and customer-focus skills; works effectively in teams and independently.Demonstrated competence with technology.Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines and budget guidelines.Available to travel up to 15% of the time.Preferred Qualifications8+ years of experience in training and/or education delivery.Experience in large aircraft operations, either in AO, Cargo, or Operations.Six Sigma Certification or Continuous Improvement experience.Experience with instructional design and/or AQP.About Hawaiian AirlinesNow in its 95th year of continuous service, Hawaiian is Hawaiʻi's largest and longest-serving airline, offering approximately 150 daily flights within the Hawaiian Islands and nonstop flights between Hawaiʻi and 16 U.S. gateway cities.Hawaiian Airlines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
