We look forward to meeting you!As a Manager in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for the following:
Provide top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, flow through entities, corporations, and trusts; also reviews related income tax workpapersWill spend some time on low income housing clients and therefore, need some Section 42 experienceWork closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planningOversee planning and scheduling of engagements and work flow supervisionResearch complex technical tax issues and provides solutionsLead and train teams of seniors and staff accountants throughout the engagementEnsure quality of work productCommunicate progress to partners and is the liaison between partners and staffCoach and mentor individual team members and involved in performance evaluationsManagement responsibilities also include firm administrative functions and initiatives such as client billingsTo be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:
Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plusCPA certificateA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceKnowledgeable on Section 42/low income housing tax experienceAbility to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issuesDemonstrated advanced project management skillsAbility to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceExcellent research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office computer programsExperience with GoSystems is a plusYou Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.
