The base salary may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description:
RapidScale is looking for a Cyber Security Senior Analyst who will report to the Director of Infrastructure Security and Operations. As a member of the Infrastructure Security Team, you will have the opportunity to pioneer security architectures supporting meaningful business initiatives.Primary Responsibilities / Tasks:Works with cloud account and engineering teams to review, manage, and track security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and remediation efforts.Define and implement cloud policy, assess compliance, and lead remediation efforts for non-compliant resources.Promotes security and privacy by design through effective partnership with security, cloud account, and engineering teams.Works closely with cloud account teams to fully understand business priorities.Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.Lead cost-risk tradeoff discussions with the product teams, helping to decide how important and at what increased cost each security requirement/functionality can be justifiably added in the product.Strong General Cyber Security experience, including infrastructure security, Security Architecture, some security compliance experience in implementing security controls required for ISO27001, SOC2 or similar frameworks.Ability to develop and implement security architecture standards in private and public cloud environments.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field.Requires strong knowledge of demonstrated AWS, Azure, GCP and VMWare private cloud and virtualization security experience required. Policy as code (Terraform) experience preferred.Minimum 3 years experience with Prisma Cloud or similar technologies.Working knowledge of cloud concepts and network architectures.Working knowledge of network security concepts including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and WAFs.Working knowledge of encryption concepts and implementation methods.Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies.Strong collaboration skills to effectively develop consensus and understanding among cross-functional teams on key security risks and vulnerabilities.Proficient critical thinking and analytical skills needed to bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or within department problems.Drives completion of projects or assignments.Preferred Qualifications:Degree in related discipline strongly desired: MS/MA in a related discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.); and/or 3 years of experience in related field.Experience with cloud security posture management solutions.2 to 3 year’s Experience in Security Consulting.At least one relevant industry certification – CISSP, CISM, CISA.Certifications in: Azure, GCP, AWS.Knowledge and understanding of NIST 800-53 standards.About RapidScale:
