Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has helped more than 75,000 young adults in San Francisco with outreach, shelter, housing, education, employment, healthcare, and other services.Today, Larkin Street Youth Services is the largest provider of housing and services to homeless youth in the Bay Area. We serve 1,500 youth annually, operating or partnering to provide more than 500 emergency shelter, transitional, supportive, and subsidy-based housing beds at several unique sites across San Francisco.Working at Larkin Street, no matter what department, means making a real difference in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness. Program Coordinator of the Trust Youth Initiative
identifies DCT eligible youth, supports supplemental programming, and collaborates with established LSYS programming and/or outside partners. The Trust Youth Initiative (TYI) pilot is a Cash Plus model that combines unconditional direct cash transfers (DCTs) with optional supportive programming and services for 24 months to support young adults ages 18 to 24 to secure safe and stable housing. The Cash Plus approach recognizes that young people often face both financial and non-financial constraints to long-term housing stability and thriving. Both the cash amounts and supportive programming will be delivered over two years.This is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits.Your responsibilities:Aid participants with housing opportunities. This may include finding safe and appropriate housing units for participants through housing search activities (i.e. conducting online searches for rental units, canvassing neighborhoods to identify housing units for the program, attending landlord community meetings, etc.)Supporting participants in connecting and collaborating with the other LSYS programs.Assist in the design of promotional materials (monthly calendar, fliers, brochures, etc.) to inform and support participant engagement in the program.Follow-up with LSYS wrap-around services by communicating with identified support staff.Fulfill data entry and reporting requirements as designated by LSYS.Teach periodic workshops on housing sustainability, money management, and community resources in order to empower participants to sustain stability.Effectively communicate with youth, Point Source Youth staff, Chapin Hall staff, Pathways and LSYS support staff.Track participation of the youth involved in the pilot program.Submit and manage documentation for client incentives and payments.Identify relevant housing resources for program participants and support young people in accessing those resources.Attend in-service training as required; participate in staff meetings, planning meetings and other meetings as needed.Track program inputs, outputs, and outcomes in partnership and collaboration in Pathways Study and Trust Youth Initiative and with research partners.Enter data appropriately into online database as assigned by supervisor in support of the data integrity plan at LSYS.Help youth participants build relationships within the community to ensure positive and beneficial placements and outcomes.Work closely with LSYS TAY Navigation team to ensure participants are identified.WHO YOU ARE:You are passionate about the Larkin Street Youth Services mission to end youth homelessness.You embody our values and core strategies: "This Is How We Roll":

You have some social services and/or direct-service experience.
